Spiced Apple Quinoa Porridge
Spiced Apple Quinoa Porridge stands out as an ideal breakfast choice for those looking out for a nurturing vegetarian meal that is Kapha dosha balancing. This recipe naturally enhances digestion and metabolism, as it is packed with fiber and essential nutrients.
Preparation Time – 10 minutes
Cooking Time – 20 minutes

Ingredients –
* Quinoa – 1cup (rinsed)
* Water – 2cups
* Apple – 1large (Chopped)
* Cinnamon – 1teaspoon (ground)
* Ginger – 1/2 teaspoon ( freshly grated)
* Cardamom – 1/4teaspoon (ground)
* Almond Milk – 1cup
* Maple syrup – as per taste (optional)
* Almonds – 1/4 cup (sliced)
* Raisins – 2 tablespoon (optional)

Instructions –
* Take 2cups of water in a medium saucepan and place it over medium heat.
* Now Add Quinoa to it and bring it to a boil. Then reduce the heat and let it simmer for another 15 minutes, until most of the water is absorbed.
* Stir in the chopped apple, cinnamon, ginger and cardamom. Cover and cook until apples are soft.
* Lastly add the almond milk by stiring it gently. Heat for another 2minutes.
* You can also add maple syrup if desired at this stage.
* Remove it from heat.
* Serve warm for best taste. Garnish it with some sliced almonds and raisins.
